ABOUT
WHY WE CELEBRATE
According to the “Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010” or Republic Act No. 9994 (2009), the Filipino Elderlies or Senior Citizens are defined as the “individuals belonging to the age group 60 years and over”. They compose 6.8% of the 100.1 million total population of the country in 2014 (Antonio, 2015). In essence, the senior citizens must enjoy rights as equally as the rest of the people; their rights don’t disappear along with their age (Social Watch Program & United Nations Development Program, 2016).
MISSION
Recognizing the importance of senior citizens in the country, we are dedicated to imparting senior citizens the programs, their privileges, and the idea to encourage an active aging life.
